**Flood Watch that was in effect has now been cancelled by the National Weather Service**

——

An area of low pressure will move across the region Monday giving us a pretty good likelihood for some accumulating snow…starting later tonight.

It looks like the heaviest snow should fall from the Straits area south to around US-10 with 3″-5″ possible with 2″-4″ in the E.U.P. Right in the Straits area, we could see 3″-5″. This area will be the buffer zone. South of US-10, we are looking at 1″-3″ So, it looks like anywhere across the viewing area, we will be seeing some hazardous travel starting with the early morning commute and continuing through mid-afternoon.

After that, the system exits, we will see lake effect snows increase of off Lake Michigan/Lake Superior Monday night-Wednesday a.m. Some lake snows are expected to be heavy at times with W/NW winds expected.

Highs on Monday will be in the upper 20′s and lower 30′s (so a heavier, wet snow is expected) with winds NE 10-18 north, E 8-18 and E/SE 8-18 southern areas. Lows tonight will be in the upper teens to lower/middle 20′s with lighter winds. There is a chance for some freezing drizzle and light snow moving in in advance of the storm system itself.

Highs on Tuesday will be colder than normal with highs in the upper teens and lower/middle 20′s and into the 20′s for Wednesday.

Another system moves through on Thursday giving us another chance for widespread snow (a few inches?) then more lake effect for Friday.
